This website documents four arts sessions between April – June 2016 with young people in the Preston area who have worked with artist Claire Weetman in response to the exhibition Nothing Happens, Twice at the Harris Museum. This is part of the Sparks programme of activity for young people aged 16-19.
Nothing Happens, Twice is an exhibition at the Harris Museum in Preston where artists explore the absurdity of life. Artists include: Samuel Beckett, John Bock, Mel Brimfield, Broomberg & Chanarin, Pavel Buchler, Common Culture (Ian Brown, David Campbell and Mark Durden), Steph Fletcher, Pat Flynn, Willum Geerts, Hilde Krohn Huse, Nathaniel Mellors, Sally O’Reilly, Hardeep Pandhal, Pierrick Sorin, Mladen Stilinovic, Bedwyr Williams.
Nothing Happens, Twice is part of the Dance First, Think Later programme of contemporary art at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery. The programme, and the associated Sparks Youth Engagement and Talent Development Programme for emerging artists, are supported by Arts Council England, Contemporary Art Society, Lancashire County Council, Friends of the Harris Museum & Art Gallery, The Foyle Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, the Granada Foundation, Creative Lancashire, Jacana Care Trust, Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund and the Brian Mercer Charitable Trust.
